DAY 1 : AIRPORT – POPENGUINE
Arrival at the airport and transfer to Popenguine by air-conditioned car.

DAYS 2 : POPENGUINE – ACCROBAOBAB

Departure after breakfast between 8:30 am and
9:00 am.

At the beginning, you will leave from the Popenguine nature reserve towards the heights of Guéréo by a laterite track. You can enjoy a superb view of the Somone lagoon and then follow the Somone tannin through small, relatively rolling sand tracks lined with baobabs. Arrival of the first stage at the Accro-baobab. After lunch and a nap, you can fully enjoy the various activities of the Accro-baobab.

DAY 2 : POPENGUINE – ACCROBAOBAB

Departure after breakfast between 7:45 and 8:10 am.

At the beginning, you will leave from the Popenguine nature reserve in the direction of the Ndayane hills by a laterite and rolling sand track. You will cross orchards lined with baobabs before diving along the hills of Popenguine serère to reach Kiniabour by laterite tracks then direction the heights of Guéréo to enjoy a superb view of the Somone lagoon. You will follow the Somone tannin through small, relatively rolling sand tracks lined with baobabs.Arrival of the first stage at the Accro-baobab. After lunch and a nap, you can fully enjoy the various activities of the Accro-baobab.

DAY 3 : ACCROBAOBAB – SIPANE

Departure after breakfast between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.

You will leave the seaside to enter the Senegalese bush.At first, you will recover and walk along the Bandia reserve and then take hard tracks through the Bandia forest where baobabs and acacias rise, bordering various orchards and farms.
At the bend in the road, it is possible to see patas or green monkeys.

You will arrive at the Hallier organic chilli pepper farm in Sipane for the bivouac. After lunch and a nap, you will visit the Bandia reserve.

DAY 4 : SIPANE – NIANING

Departure after breakfast between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.

At first, you will ride on hard tracks through the Bandia forest with baobabs and acacias that border various orchards and farms. On arrival on Taset, a small part of soft sand awaits you for about a hundred meters.
Leaving Taset, you will take a laterite track to Tiebena and then you will drive on small hard tracks that are used by various herds of oxen, biquettes with always acacias and baobab forest, return on a laterite track to the national Mbour-Kaolack.
Transfer by car to Nanning.

After lunch and a nap, you can visit the liquor factory in Warang or the shell-shaped Nianing church.

DAY 4 : SIPANE – NIANING

Departure after breakfast between 7:15 am and 7:30 am.

At first, you will ride on hard tracks through the Bandia forest with baobabs and acacias that border various orchards and farms. On arrival on Taset, a small part of soft sand awaits you for about a hundred meters.
Leaving Taset, you will take a laterite track to Tiebena and then you will drive on small hard tracks that are used by various herds of oxen, biquettes with always acacias and baobab forest, return on a laterite track to the national Mbour-Kaolack.
Once on the other side of the road, you will take hard sandy tracks with portions of slack crossing serere villages to reach Nianing.

After lunch and a nap, you can visit the liquor factory in Warang or the shell-shaped Nianing church.

 
DAY 5 : NIANING – JOAL
36 km, altitude difference +- 20 meters
Estimated time between 3H00 and 3H30
Departure after breakfast between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.

Initially, you will drive on hard and soft sand tracks to leave the village of Nianing, then you will take hard tracks to cross the forest of Nianing to reach the village of Ndiamane. By small tracks lined with baobabs, you will reach the Ndianda national road. After crossing the road, hard and soft sand tracks will lead you through a forest of rôniers to Joal Fadiouth, the arrival city.

After lunch and a nap, you can visit the fishing port and watch the arrival of the canoes or discover the shellfish island.

DAY 6 : JOAL– PALMARIN
27 km, altitude difference +- 100 meters
Estimated time between 3H00 and 3H30.
Departure after breakfast between 8:00 am and 8:30 am.

Departure from Joal by the national road for 4 km to dive into the tannin where wide open spaces await you by following the cart tracks along the lagoon. Detour by Fadial to see the sacred baobab of 950 years. You will make a detour through the village Ndiarone Serrere to drop off the educational toys at the nursery school that you will have brought for the association The kaname. You will continue on the tannin where some parts of the road are encircled by the lagoon until you reach the entrance of Palmarin. You will enter the protected, natural community reserve of Palmarin. Along salt wells, you will cross the Niassam hills with a magnificent view of superb ancestral baobabs. Continuing your way through the salt marshes and bolongs, you can see herons or hear the sacred ibises : exceptional setting !
Arrival in Palmarin for a bivouac with the Nebeday association whose main objective is the participatory management of natural resources by and for local populations.

After a traditional meal and a nap, you will go by cart to the reserve before sunset to see the wild spotted hyenas.

DAY 7 : PALMARIN - DJIFFER - SIPO - TOUBACOUTA
4 km, altitude difference +- 30 meters, estimated time between 00H15 and 00H30
12km, altitude difference +- 50 meters, estimated time between 1H00 and 1H30
Departure after breakfast between 7:30 am and 8:00 am.

Departure from Palmarin by road to Djiffer between the ocean and the Saloum River to reach the pier.
Aboard a pirogue, you will cross the Sine-Saloum delta, a World Heritage Site and a UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. It is the sixth largest estuary in the world in terms of fish and wildlife diversity and the second largest national park in Senegal after Niokolo-Koba.
In a swampy labyrinth of mangroves and bolongs, you can see a multitude of birds, about 95 species cohabit there : grey pelicans, Goliath herons, white-throated egrets etc. You will dock on a beach in Diogaye for the last straight line by bike of your stay. 12 km await you on tannin tracks as far as Sipo to take the canoe and join Toubacouta where another team from Nebeday will welcome you to discover its work on reforestation, bio-coal, protected areas, etc.
The bivouac will await you with an end-of-stay meal combining traditional dance, sharing and good humour.

DAY 8 : TOUBACOUTA – AIROPORT
Visit of Toubacouta, swimming in the Sine-Saloum and last meal before leaving for Popenguine then transfer to the airport.
